The Millennium inflammation team has expertise across a broad range of basic and clinical research areas. Our scientists have active research collaborations with leading scientists at more than 100 academic research centers throughout the world. Through these collaborations, we receive valuable tissue samples and state-of-the-art technology and information that help us in rapidly and accurately identifying novel molecular targets for new anti-inflammatory treatment strategies.

Specific areas of expertise include down-regulation of inflammatory responses, inhibition of cytokine signaling of inflammatory macrophages, and blockade of select leukocytes to protect mucosal epithelia in various disease states. To accelerate their progress, our researchers take advantage of the broad access to enabling technologies provided by our technology platform, including a knowledge base that can be used to enhance development of targets, candidates and products across parallel programs in the five major areas of inflammatory disease, and several other areas as well.
